After yesterdays post I thought I’d post blues. Blind Willie Johnson blues. There he is in quiet meditation, all grown up but somehow still a deep Texas kid who made his own guitar. His is the blues that goes for space: none of the straight up Skip stuff that usually jumps in your head when you think of the guys in this era… I love that stuff but Blind Willie Johnson made records that were a little different to all that.
