Lizzy O Lizzy. Yes: I love Was (Not Was). And of course I love Don Armando too. My life would be a little more diluted without Suicide and Alan Vega. But for all these groups and people have given me, none from Ze Records have made me just wanna do my thing like Lizzy Mercier Descloux. A genuine poly-practitioner in the arts she lived a life that was seemingly sponge-like in its influences. Her music was very much a vehicle to communicate all she picked up on and was interested in. Who gives a fuck if people buy it? These are my ideas and they are my own. She was, like her song, a hard boiled babe.
